Along with water energy, biomass represents the most important energy source in Slovenia and an important alternative to fossil fuels. The primary objective of the project was to inform and educate people about the significance of biomass and a responsible attitude towards the environment. Possible locations for collecting biomass in all interested local communities in the LAG area were recorded, along with possible caretakers of collection centres and possible collectors of biomass that would collect the biomass from the locals free of charge in order to obtain the so-called green energy.
